Blue Badge Parking Charges

Conservative and Independent councillors on Powys Council are planning to introduce new charges for disabled blue badge holders to park in council owned car parks. This will hit disabled people on low incomes hard, and hurt our town centres, leading more people to go to out of town supermarkets.

Disabled people can't walk or cycle to their local town, many of them need to visit often, and they are likely to be on low incomes or benefits.

This new charge the Conservatives want to introduce will hit vulnerable people hard, and we need to tell them to stop.

We call on Conservative/Independent councillors at Powys County Council to drop plans to introduce parking charges for disabled blue badge holders in Council owned car parks.
