Öpik and Bates Support Fair Trade bid

Speaking after the Fair Trade Conference in Newtown this weekend, Lembit Öpik, MP for Montgomeryshire, stated that Wales can become the best country in Britain for Fair Trade.

Lembit said

"I believe that Powys can be a Fair Trade county and Wales can be a Fair Trade country. We should aim to be the Best in Britain for Fair Trade".

Lembit Öpik MP and Mick Bates AM both attended the Fair Trade Conference in Newtown on Saturday, which focused on making Wales a Fair Trade country.

Mick said

"We should all get behind the Fair Trade movement because making Powys and Wales Fair Trade is very much achievable. With Fair Trade everyone's a winner - and we all like to win every now and then!"
