Rejection of Wrexham–London rail service is the wrong decision, say Welsh Lib Dems

Commenting, Welsh Liberal Democrat Westminster Spokesperson David Chadwick MP said:

“I am disappointed by this decision. The proposed service would have provided a much-needed improved rail link to London for residents across both Mid and North Wales, while bringing significant benefits to local businesses, tourism and the wider economy.

“We should be looking at ways to improve rail connectivity in Wales, not allowing existing capacity constraints to hold back economic growth.”
